By Venus florus

Stress management is important for your happiness, inner-freedom, and your health. Below are 5 tips that can help you manage your stress and get rid of your stress so that you can live a healthy life.

1. Limit The News And Social Media

I know these days it’s important to know what is going on in the news but sometimes we take in so much negative content that  can be very stressful. The news focuses on all the bad things so by taking in all these negative content you’re lowering your inner vibration thus will affect your mood. Facebook and Instagram can also have a flood of negative content, and these days we can find ourselves scrolling through social media for hours. When we are home all day, it’s easy to pick up your phone, start scrolling and there goes your day.

2. Start A Journal

By writing down all of your thoughts and frustrations of the day, you may find having a journal is the best therapist ever. Writing stuff down can help you process certain emotions that you probably have been wanting to let go. Also, a journal is a great way to face yourself, a great way to get connected to you. You don’t need to have a script to start your journal. You will find by grabbing a pin and having the intention to  start writing, all of your emotions will start to flow.

3. Do Something Uplifting

As start reading a book, listen to music, put some good music on and dance away. For example take a zumba class on youtube that will get you moving, get you out of your head. By moving, you will release all the good hormones in the body which will help improve your mood.

4. Meditate

Meditation is one of my favorite practice. Meditating is so soothing to the mind, the soul, and the body. It’s such a great way to start the day, it put you in the right mindset to face whatever the day throws at you. Meditation changed my life and it changed how I handle my day. If you are new to meditation, start small, 10 minute sessions and increase your time through practice.

5. Live In The Moment

Live in the moment: Sometimes, our mind can get so preoccupied with the past or problems in the future, that we forget to be present. Taking the time to notice your pattern weather through meditation or by taking 10 – 15 minutes of silence to yourself, can bring you some clarity and it’s a great way to process your emotions.
